Once that’s done, you can get started. Use the FortiClient software from your PC to use Haverford VPN. Toggle connect / disconnect when you need to use VPN or when you’ve completed your session. When connected to VPN the Status in your menubar will read “Connected” and the “Connect Time” counter will begin. Click “Install” and enter in your computer / administrator password when asked.Username – Use your Haverford username only (do not Password – Use the same password as you would for your Haverford email.It will ask if you trust the sender, select continue again.System Preferences will open and after a few seconds show “This profile will configure your Mac for the following: VPN Service”.Download and double click the Haverford Mac VPN Configurator.Ensure you are first connected to the internet.Software updates can be done through the App Store. VPN is a network connection used to access protected Haverford resources while off-campus and requiring a Duo challenge will significantly strengthen our security and is considered a best practice by standard security protocols. If you are off campus and your primary Duo authentication method is your desk phone, you will not be able to authenticate and will need to change your primary authentication method. Starting Monday, January 24 a Duo multi-factor challenge will need to be satisfied in order for users to access a virtual private network (VPN) connection. ![]()
